This manual will go over setup of your Hornet slingshot and give you what you need to safely and correctly use your slingshot.
Get to know your Hornet slingshot.
The second Fowler Series slingshot, from SimpleShot.
Shooter side vs. Target sideThe shooter side has the SimpleShot logo and Fowler's signature on it. This is the side that will face you when you shoot. (Look closely on the clear model!)
Over the top (OTT)
The Hornet shoots one way: Over the top. This means the slingshot bands are installed to be pulled up OVER THE TOP of the frame when shot.
Install the bands on your Hornet.

Step 1Begin by making two foundational wraps around the fork groove using tie-in tape. This ensures the tape grips the frame securely, creating a stable base.****
Step 2Place the band onto the pre-wraps and begin to wrap the tie-in material around the band, capturing it flat and secure against the frame. Complete 2+ tight wraps.****
Step 3Fold the extra band material up, and place more firm, secure wraps around the doubled-up band material for a secure hold. Complete another 2+ tight wraps.****
Step 4Pull the tag end of the tie-in material under your final two wraps to capture the tag end securely.
Keep all your wraps tight to ensure a strong installation.
One side complete!
Now, complete the same process on the other side.****
ALL DONE!
You now have a fully banded OTT Sparrow slingshot.****
Test it out!
Draw out, aiming down – away from you – to be sure the install is strong****
Step 4Pull the tag end of the tie-in material under your final two wraps to capture the tag end securely.
Keep all your wraps tight to ensure a strong installation.
Do not shoot stones or rocks from any slingshot.
Rocks – no matter how round they look – shoot erratically and shooting them may damage your slingshot and bands.
Due to the uncontrollable nature of shooting non-spherical projectiles, shooting a rock from a SimpleShot slingshot voids any / all warranties.
