Five hand-selected agglomerated cork cylinders, strung on a single monofilament line. Each cork has been branded with the SimpleShot mark — a subtle nod to provenance that serious collectors will appreciate.

This is not a mass-produced target. This is a cuvée — a small-batch selection of corks chosen for their density, spin characteristics, and satisfying audible response upon impact.

Notes de Dégustation

Opens with a crisp, satisfying thwack on first contact. Mid-palate reveals a gentle rotation — unhurried, confident — followed by a subtle wobble that speaks to the cork’s natural irregularity. The finish is long: a slow pendulum swing, a faint rustle of monofilament, and the quiet triumph of a shot well placed.

Advanced shooters will detect secondary notes of cork dust, fresh air, and the unmistakable satisfaction of not looking at a screen.

Terroir

La Cible Tournante expresses itself differently depending on conditions. A light crosswind opens up the spin profile considerably. Morning light at 10 meters reveals nuances that are lost in afternoon shadow. We recommend experimenting with distance and elevation to find your preferred expression.

Like all fine targets, this one rewards patience and attention.

Service

La Cible Tournante offers two distinct presentations.

En Suspension — Thread the monofilament through the pre-drilled holes. Tie between two trees, fence posts, or any fixed points at shoulder height. Space the corks evenly — or don’t. We’re not the police. A well-placed shot produces the signature spin that gives this target its name.

Sur la Table — Arrange the corks upright on any flat surface — a fence rail, a stump, a stack of firewood. The satisfaction here is different: a clean hit sends the cork tumbling into the grass. Replace. Repeat. Surprisingly addictive.

For optimal expression in either presentation, choose a location where missed shots won’t hit anything you care about.
